Admin section - Lists

Lists is a metadata field used across the archive. Some of these list values are part of the Noark 5-standard.

You find Lists here:

  1. Klikk på Admin i menyen til venstre
  2. Klikk på Innstillinger
  3. Klikk på Arkivstatistikk

When you select Lists all list objects appear on the left side of the screen.
In the main window, when positioned on "LIST OBJECTS" you can view and edit permissions for the different user groups.

If you select a List object from the list you can create, edit or delete list values:

Create List value

To create a new list value choose the List object, then click on "Create value"
This window appears:

There are no rules as such to formatting of these fields, but we recommend you using numbers and text that is explanatory and easy to use correctly.

Edit List value

(To be able to edit list your user group needs the "Edit list values" service permission)
As of version 2.35.0 all fields in list values can be edited. To edit, select the list value, and a edit-field appars in the right side of the screen, like this:

Be aware! NEVER edit the NOARK list values. If you do this a future NOARK extraction will not be valid.

Default list value

You can set default list value on one list value in each list object.
These values will come as standard whenever a new object is created.
There are pros and cons; with default list values you make sure entries are properly marked, and there is less manual operations when creating objects - however, used uncritically the effect could be the opposite, with lots of wrongly marked objects. The most common default value is Administrative Unit, which is helpful when creating registry entries as shown here:

Delete list value

Any list value can be deleted. You delete a list value by hovering over the list value, then click on the trash can (illustrated in image further up).

Deletion of list value has to be confirmed.

Be aware! NEVER edit the NOARK list values. If you do this a future NOARK extraction will not be valid.

NOARK list values

Some of the List objects and list values come in the default setup of every Documaster archive. These are NOARK5-values.

These must not be deleted or amended.

All NOARK5-list values are cleasly marked like seen in image below:
